Focus on resolving novel regulatory questions, assessing product risks, setting documentation standards, and translating emerging regulations into business recommendations.
Location: On-site in Elizabeth, New Jersey, United States
Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do
- Interpret and implement regulatory requirements for fragrance ingredients, formulations, and finished products across global markets.
- Drive compliance with IFRA standards and determine formulation changes ahead of restrictions and amendments.
- Lead regulatory database and documentation strategy, establishing standards for accuracy and structure.
- Advise Perfumery, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams on regulatory risks and product-development decisions.
- Assess raw materials, formulations, and finished products, and support customer-facing compliance inquiries.
- Track emerging regulations and translate them into concrete business recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, Toxicology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of regulatory affairs experience in the fragrance industry; fragrance experience is required.
- Demonstrated responsibility for compliance across multiple major jurisdictions, including global or multi-market experience.
- Deep working knowledge of IFRA standards, REACH, EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009, FDA/MoCRA, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to advise stakeholders and influence regulatory-risk decisions.
- Familiarity with fragrance formulation and raw materials; employment eligibility verification in the United States is required upon hire.
