Software Solutions Engineering PhD Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Develop integrated software solutions tailored to customer and platform needs.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and customer engineering teams on scalable and optimized solutions.
• Support solution architecture, feature prototyping, and performance analysis across diverse workloads.
• Work on computer vision, AI image analytics, and machine learning at scale.
• Conduct experiments, solve technical problems, and document and present results.
• Develop and deploy solutions using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV in Linux and Windows environments.

Requirements

• Current PhD student in Computer Science, Electronics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Fluency in Python and experience programming and testing on Linux and Windows.
• Familiarity with Git and continuous integration tools.
• Strong understanding of computer vision and deep learning techniques.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV, plus problem-solving and algorithm design skills.
• Availability for a six-month internship in 2027, preferably starting in January, with on-site work in Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL databases and full-stack web development.
• Scientific publications in deep learning, computer vision, electronics, or computer science.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
