Maintenance Technician, Fixed Nights

Location: Mentor, Ohio, USA; onsite fixed-night schedule from 6 PM to 6 AM

Starting hiring rate: $31.47/hour plus a $2.00/hour shift differential

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing machinery, motors, conveyor systems, switchboards, relays, and power distribution circuits.
• Identify root causes of electrical and mechanical failures using schematics, diagrams, precision tools, and testing instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and support plant operations.
• Install conduit and wiring, replace components, and test equipment for safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams, report shift metrics, maintain maintenance logs, and improve quality and safety workflows.

Requirements

• Trade school certification, an associate degree in industrial maintenance, or equivalent journeyman-level experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot 3-phase and PLC systems.
• Strong root-cause problem-solving, communication, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and support team goals.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred: 3+ years of multi-craft electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance experience, including process equipment, roll maintenance, or automated production systems.
