Focus on reviewing previous work, interviewing senior software development engineers, and evaluating one or more ML models such as Isolation Forest and K-means.

What you will do

  • Investigate how unsupervised machine learning algorithms can identify problems in simulators of large-scale, complex systems.
  • Review previous research and related work on anomaly detection and simulator data analysis.
  • Interview senior software development engineers at hirify.global Aeronautics.
  • Evaluate one or more machine learning models relevant to anomaly detection.
  • Structure and present anomaly detection results, including visualization of large datasets.

Requirements

  • Be at the end of a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Be about to begin a 30 HP master thesis project.
  • Have an interest in software development and software testing.
  • Pass security vetting under current security protection regulations; additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance.
