Internship and Masterthesis (m/f/d) in the Area of Large Language Model (LLM) for Automation of Production Processes (AI)

Location: Bremen, Germany, with a partial home office option

hirify.global and ArianeGroup develop and manufacture technologies for space, defence, and industrial applications, including Ariane launcher systems and production components.

What you will do

• Complete a three-month voluntary internship in the Production Engineering department.
• Develop an LLM-based use-case tool for automating and optimizing cognitive data-transfer tasks in production engineering.
• Apply tokenization, variable transformation, integration, and assembly processes when training and developing the LLM solution.
• Research multiple LLM use cases for production procedures and identify an optimal automation application.
• Document error studies, limitations, and the results of automating at least one production procedure.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in a master's program in AI, machine learning, or a related field.
• Background in production, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Python, MACRO, large language models, and machine learning techniques.
• Knowledge of server handling capacity or server infrastructure.
• Initial experience with automation processes is required.
• Fluent English and availability to start on 15 November 2026.
