Backend Engineer (Partnerships)

Location: Vladivostok, Russia; on-site. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Vladivostok.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services for affiliate and referral link generation, click and conversion tracking, attribution, postbacks, webhooks, and partner reporting.
• Take partnership integrations from requirements clarification through technical specification, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Integrate affiliate links with hirify.global Web Shops and ensure partner traffic is attributed correctly through checkout.
• Develop internal tooling for partner onboarding, bulk link generation, performance extraction, and payout reconciliation.
• Investigate tracking discrepancies and add logging, metrics, and alerting for integration failures.
• Maintain API documentation, participate in code reviews, write tests, and collaborate with engineering, Partnerships, Analytics, and Customer Success teams.

Requirements

• Junior-level profile with 1–4 years of backend development experience, or a strong portfolio of personal, academic, or internship projects.
• Working proficiency in at least one of Go, PHP, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, or Java.
• Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals, including schema design, joins, and indexing.
• Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, API keys, and OAuth 2.0.
• Comfort with Git, code review, debugging, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• English is required for technical discussions and written documentation; Russian is required for day-to-day work in the Vladivostok office.

Nice to have

• Experience with affiliate or performance marketing technology, including tracking pixels, S2S postbacks, click IDs, UTM parameters, attribution, and deduplication.
• E-commerce, storefront, checkout, or payments integration experience.
• Frontend basics such as JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Docker, CI/CD, GCP or AWS, message queues, scheduled jobs, data pipelines, or analytics and BI tools.
• Interest in gaming, fintech, or high-load consumer platforms.
