Actuarial Analytics & Platform Specialist (L&H) (R/Experience Studies): Developing and enhancing a global Experience Studies Platform for Life & Health insurance with an accent on actuarial methodologies, analytical tools, and production-quality software engineering. Focus on translating complex business requirements into scalable solutions, strengthening governance and quality controls, and enabling global practitioners through training and knowledge sharing.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and continuously enhance the global Experience Studies Platform, including its R-based calculation engine, analytical databases, reporting ecosystem, and monitoring capabilities.
- Translate actuarial and business problems into scalable, reusable analytical solutions that improve automation, insight, and efficiency.
- Partner with IT development teams to provide specialist actuarial and domain expertise and ensure solutions are accurate and fit for purpose.
- Define governance frameworks, standards, best practices, and guardrails for Experience Studies methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Lead development from concept through controlled delivery, embedding testing, validation, peer review, documentation, version control, and transparent releases.
- Create training materials and deliver workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives for global Experience Studies practitioners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Life & Health insurance, actuarial work, analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong programming skills, especially in R, with experience developing production-quality analytical tools, applications, or frameworks.
- Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions and simplifying complex analytical problems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business, actuarial, data, and technology functions.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in cross-functional teams with a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience Studies experience and an actuarial qualification or progress toward qualification.
- Experience in pricing, valuation, underwriting analytics, claims analytics, assumption setting, or portfolio management.
- Experience with databases, cloud platforms, software engineering, CI/CD, or data engineering.
- Knowledge of Life & Health products across multiple markets or regions.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or knowledge-sharing initiatives.
