TL;DR
COBOL Developer (iSeries/AS400): Maintaining legacy applications and developing new programs for customer business operations with an accent on COBOL program logic, SDLC practices, and analytical requirements analysis. Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The work model prioritizes in-person collaboration, with some flexibility and remote work support.

What you will do
- Develop application program logic from customer-defined specifications.
- Analyze existing COBOL program logic and determine solutions for changes or malfunctions.
- Maintain and modify production applications to support user needs and efficient operations.
- Apply coding and analytical skills throughout the software development life cycle.
- Prepare program specifications, diagrams, and logic flowcharts.
- Test, debug, support, and maintain customer application programs while reporting to the project manager or team lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0 to less than 1 year of experience with COBOL code analyzer software or projects extracting business logic from mainframe COBOL systems.
- Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and creating program specifications and requirements.
- Experience with health insurance programs.
- Basic English communication skills required.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
