TL;DR
IT Security Engineer (Security Operations/Identity & Access Management): Investigating security incidents and improving identity controls across VusionGroup's IT environment with an accent on incident response, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Identity Security. Focus on analyzing complex attacks, coordinating containment and remediation, strengthening authentication and privileged access, and supporting the Austria site.
Location: Fernitz bei Graz, Austria; flexible hybrid work schedule with responsibilities as the local security contact for the Austria site. International travel of approximately 10–20% is required.
Salary: From EUR 3,267 gross per month for full-time employment, with flexibility depending on qualifications.

What you will do
- Review and investigate security incidents and SOC-escalated tickets using SIEM, EDR, identity, endpoint, network, and cloud security evidence.
- Determine incident root cause, scope, and impact, including suspicious authentication, identity compromise, endpoint threats, and network anomalies.
- Coordinate containment, remediation, and recovery with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Digital Workplace, and Application teams.
- Improve incident response procedures, SOC use cases, detection capabilities, and investigation documentation.
- Support Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory security, identity lifecycle processes, access reviews, and identity governance.
- Implement and maintain MFA, Conditional Access, passwordless authentication, PIM, privileged access controls, SSO integrations, and least-privilege practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT Security, Identity & Access Management, or Security Engineering.
- Hands-on experience investigating incidents with SIEM, EDR, identity, endpoint, network, and infrastructure logs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows, Linux, networking fundamentals, Azure, and Microsoft 365 security technologies.
- Knowledge of SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Kerberos, and secure troubleshooting across identity, endpoint, system, network, and cloud layers.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
