Senior SOC Analyst, Security Operations (AWS/Elastic)

Location: Vienna, Austria; hybrid working model with onsite collaboration and remote work. Relocation benefits are available within the European Union to support relocation to Vienna.

What you will do

• Own the detection library strategy and quality in Elastic Security using ES|QL and KQL.
• Lead complex incident investigations and threat hunting across AWS, Elastic, and Datadog.
• Design automated investigation, enrichment, and response workflows using SOAR, APIs, and custom tooling.
• Improve cloud security monitoring, system hardening, IAM, and security tooling across AWS.
• Partner with engineering teams on risk reduction, architectural decisions, and compliance initiatives including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and DORA.
• Mentor security engineers and participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in incident response, threat hunting, SIEM, digital forensics, and scripting.
• Experience designing detections, automating workflows, and improving security operations.
• Strong experience securing AWS cloud-native environments, including system hardening, network security, IAM, and security monitoring.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives from idea through implementation and collaborate across engineering.
• Experience with Elastic Security, ES|QL, and KQL is highly desirable.
