Intern in Evidence Synthesis, Health Economics

Location: Hybrid position based in the Athens, Greece or Lisbon, Portugal office; full-time availability for 6 months is required.

What you will do

• Support health economics consulting projects and produce statistical analysis materials and services.
• Conduct analyses such as survival analysis, meta-analysis, indirect treatment comparisons, surrogate endpoint evaluations, and structured expert elicitation.
• Complete a client-based or academic dissertation project where applicable, allocating approximately 50% of time to the dissertation and 50% to team projects.
• Liaise with clients and develop communication and presentation skills within project teams.
• Contribute to innovative methodological initiatives and collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts across Europe.

Requirements

• Currently studying for or recently completed a relevant postgraduate degree in health economics, economics, statistics, biostatistics, pharmacy, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong numeracy and quantitative analysis skills.
• Competency using R.
• Fluent English is required, as English is the working language.
• Eligibility to work in Greece or Portugal without visa sponsorship is required.
• Full-time availability for a six-month internship based in the Athens or Lisbon office is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Stan or OpenBUGS.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
