Commercial & Procurement Specialist - Defence & Security - Consultant

Location: Hybrid working in the UK, with attendance at client sites two days per week. The role is based at 10 Bressenden Place, London, and involves client-facing assignments across the UK.

What you will do

• Design and run major procurements across complex equipment, digital services, infrastructure, and professional services.
• Develop procurement and contracting strategies, commercial agreements, business cases, and market approaches.
• Manage supplier engagement, tender evaluation, negotiations, contract awards, and major contract delivery.
• Support transitions from legacy frameworks and contracts, including associated business change.
• Review procurement and commercial team performance and lead initiatives covering category management, supplier relationships, and sustainable supply chains.
• Provide commercial management for complex client assignments and support agreement renegotiations and dispute resolution.

Requirements

• Experience with large and complex procurements involving equipment, digital services, or infrastructure.
• Understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing strategies, tender evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and contract management.
• Experience advising on contract terms and designing agreements for specific markets.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with major government procurements and approval processes is highly desirable.
• MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status is preferred; project management or financial management skills are advantageous.
