TL;DR
Integration & Firmware Python Test Engineer (EV Charging): Developing and executing automated validation campaigns for embedded software and firmware in electric vehicle charging systems with an accent on Python, Robot Framework, Linux, and embedded communication protocols. Focus on designing test scenarios, integrating tests into CI, analysing defects and source code, and validating charging equipment in an industrial environment.
Location: Léognan, Bordeaux, France; onsite testing in a dedicated area with electric vehicles and charging stations

What you will do
- Analyse functional and technical specifications and translate them into testable requirements, test cases, scenarios, conditions, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools in Python using Robot Framework in an Ubuntu/Linux environment.
- Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration pipelines and improve the validation environment.
- Execute functional, non-functional, regression, exploratory, and automated testing campaigns.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects while supporting root-cause analysis with developers.
- Report test coverage, results, risks, defects, validation metrics, and campaign progress; participate in Scrum activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Python development and/or software validation is preferred.
- Experience with software development or validation in Linux, automated testing, Python, and Robot Framework.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu, Git, automated testing, Continuous Integration, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to read and modify C/C++ and Python code; knowledge of IPC, network architectures, CAN, I²C, SPI, UART, and CANalyzer.
- Electrical safety certification/authorisation is required before operating around industrial electrical equipment; training and certification are provided during onboarding.

- Experience in an industrial environment involving electronic equipment or embedded systems.
- Recent graduate profile or additional experience in software validation and embedded technologies.
