Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Remote, US-based

Annual base salary: $90,000–$110,000, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Manage endpoint security and compliance across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including EDR, antivirus, MDM, disk encryption, and hardening.
• Administer and troubleshoot identity and access controls, including Active Directory, SSO, MFA, conditional access, and account lifecycle management.
• Monitor SIEM and EDR alerts, analyze logs, conduct initial investigations, and escalate complex findings.
• Review vulnerability scan results, coordinate remediation, and track security work through completion.
• Support security technology implementations, configuration changes, testing, pilot deployments, documentation, and rollout activities.
• Maintain technical controls, documentation, runbooks, automation, and evidence for security and compliance programs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise IT, endpoint operations, IAM, security operations, systems administration, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint technologies across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including EDR or antivirus, MDM, disk encryption, and operating system configurations.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, SSO, MFA, conditional access, and account lifecycle management.
• Experience with technical logs, alert troubleshooting, initial investigations, vulnerability management, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting and command-line tools.
• Strong analytical, documentation, decision-making, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GovRAMP, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, log analysis, alert triage, and vulnerability-management tools.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP and cloud security concepts.
• Experience with security technology deployments, on-call rotations, or regulated and public-sector environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, SSCP, Microsoft SC-200, or AZ-500.
