Onsite Live Event Technician (Audio Visual): Setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for corporate conferences, live events, webcasts, studio shoots, and video productions with an accent on sound systems, cameras, control rooms, streaming technologies, and client support. Focus on coordinating pre-event planning, dry runs, live production, equipment configuration, and rapid issue resolution under tight timelines.
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; onsite role in an office and studio environment
Salary: 32–36 CAD per hour

What you will do
- Coordinate audiovisual requirements for corporate conferences and live events, including equipment, staffing, room layouts, setup, operation, and teardown.
- Set up, move, operate, test, troubleshoot, and store audiovisual and media studio equipment.
- Operate mobile webcast kits, control rooms, sound systems, lighting, wireless microphones, cameras, presentation systems, and studio control booths.
- Fill production roles such as audio operator, camera operator, production assistant, and technical director.
- Provide technical support for live events, webcasts, studio shoots, recordings, and presentation technology.
- Support clients and event coordinators, explain meeting best practices, and resolve issues during live presentations.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Broadcast Production or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- 3–5+ years of demonstrated production experience.
- Understanding of technology, business office procedures, multitasking, and customer relations.
- Critical thinking, self-motivation, teamwork, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to work under tight timelines and budgets.
- Ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work.
- Ability to move 50–75 lb of equipment and work onsite in an office and studio environment.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of studio operations experience.
- 3+ years of experience with streaming technologies and live event video capture and distribution.
- Experience as a technical director in live productions, broadcasts, or webcasts.
- Experience mentoring and training clients for successful presentations.
- Background in streaming technologies, events, live production, and delivery options.
