Network Implementation Engineer (Networking)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico. The role includes travel of up to 20%.

What you will do

• Perform technical onboarding and deployment for new Kentik customers.
• Execute onboarding implementation plans and guide customers to their first desired product outcome.
• Lead Kentik platform deployment and configuration, including Private Agent installation, test creation, and initial setup.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Account Managers, Support, Product, and Engineering teams during the transition from pre-sales to delivery.
• Identify and escalate technical challenges or product gaps affecting customer onboarding.
• Validate AI-generated outputs against network data, logs, configurations, privacy requirements, and security controls.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in customer-facing software implementation or onboarding roles.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, OSPF, HTTP, DNS, and Internet routing.
• Experience with network monitoring suites and protocols such as NetFlow, J-Flow, sFlow, IPFIX, and SNMP.
• Experience administering Linux/UNIX systems, using network vendor CLIs, programming or scripting, and working with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with network and routing security, packet captures, cloud hyperscalers, CDN architectures, synthetic testing, and relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong technical communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience with DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, customer confidentiality, human validation, and secure AI tool usage.

Hiring process

• The first 90 days include onboarding, mentoring, Kentik platform training, and relationship building with stakeholders and customers.
• Within six months, the role is expected to complete Kentik certification and begin meeting utilization and customer satisfaction metrics.
