Senior iOS Engineer (Swift)

Location: Hybrid in London, with office attendance 2–3 days per week; the role requires the right to work in the country of choice for overseas work arrangements.

What you will do

• Shape the technical direction and engineering standards for iOS across the organisation.
• Design and evolve shared modules, APIs, architecture, developer tooling, and CI/CD capabilities.
• Build production-quality Swift and SwiftUI code for platform and customer-facing product work.
• Use data, profiling, and observability to improve application performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Raise engineering capability through pairing, code reviews, technical discussions, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Backend, and Android colleagues on mobile strategy and product decisions.

Requirements

• Strong experience building and maintaining customer-facing iOS applications with Swift and SwiftUI.
• Deep knowledge of iOS development, including concurrency, performance, memory management, testing, accessibility, and security.
• Sound architectural and API-design judgement, with a focus on maintainable solutions and developer experience.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to influence improvements beyond the immediate team.
• Ability to coach, pair with, and share knowledge with other engineers.
• Ability to work from the London office 2–3 days per week and hold the right to work in the country of choice when working abroad.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, banking, or another regulated, high-trust environment.
• Experience building shared libraries, platform capabilities, or design systems.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of UIKit.
• Experience improving mobile CI/CD pipelines, release processes, or developer tooling.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
