Senior Software & Platform Engineer (Python/Go)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week from the Warsaw office

What you will do

• Define architectural patterns, engineering standards, and best practices for observability, CI/CD, GitOps, and Kubernetes.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and consulting to development teams working through complex technology, performance, and integration challenges.
• Design and implement highly available and scalable systems while balancing technical and business requirements.
• Promote clean coding practices in Python and Go, test-driven development, effective code reviews, and AI-powered engineering tools.
• Lead technical discussions, share knowledge, and support engineers across the organisation.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of commercial software engineering experience, including work on high-performance distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Go and a solid understanding of clean code principles and high engineering standards.
• Practical Kubernetes knowledge from an application perspective, including troubleshooting complex Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on experience establishing CI/CD, GitOps, and observability standards, particularly with Prometheus and Thanos.
• A university degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Good working proficiency in English and availability for hybrid work from the Warsaw office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience or willingness to learn Go.
• Experience with NATS, Temporal, or OpenBao.
