TL;DR
Platform Operations Engineer (Cloud): Building reusable internal cloud platform capabilities for SaaS product teams across Azure and AWS with an accent on Terraform automation, Kubernetes, observability, security, and developer experience. Focus on designing versioned infrastructure components, integrating policy and compliance controls, developing platform tooling, and improving operational reliability through telemetry and continuous refactoring.
Location: Hyderabad, India. Work timings: 03:00 AM IST to 11:30 AM IST.

What you will do
- Build modular, secure, and reusable infrastructure components with Terraform, automation pipelines, and telemetry.
- Implement standardized platform capabilities for Kubernetes, ingress, networking, observability, data services, and identity integrations across Azure and AWS.
- Embed logging, metrics, alerting, security, compliance, encryption, IAM boundaries, and audit readiness into platform delivery.
- Develop internal APIs, CLI tools, and service wrappers that simplify infrastructure consumption and improve developer experience.
- Maintain versioned platform components through lifecycle policies, documentation, onboarding guides, continuous refactoring, and platform feedback.
- Collaborate with Cloud Security Operations, SRE, Cloud Operations, and R&D teams; participate in technical reviews and mentor Cloud Operations members.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure delivery or platform engineering in a cloud-native environment.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, plus working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience developing tooling or platform components with Java, C#, or C++.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, container orchestration, cluster provisioning, and workload identity.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash, plus observability concepts including logs, metrics, and traces.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security, policy-as-code, AI prompting, output assessment, collaboration, and technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience building internal platforms, golden paths, or self-service developer experiences.
- Familiarity with GitOps, policy-as-code frameworks, CIS benchmarks, and configuration hardening.
- Experience with regulated environments such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
- Understanding of platform SLOs, error budgets, operational maturity models, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
