IT Business Analyst / Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Onsite in Astana, Kazakhstan

Employment: Full-time maternity leave cover contract

Astana International Financial Centre Authority is a financial centre authority with an IT Project Management team.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and workflow documentation.
• Manage API integrations, data mapping, system workflows, solution design, gap analysis, and change requests.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, QA teams, technology specialists, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate test cases and support UAT, SIT, functional testing, solution validation, and implementation activities.
• Lead projects from initiation and planning through implementation and post-project monitoring while managing scope, schedules, risks, resources, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT business analysis, project management, system analysis, software development, or related fields.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process maps, and workflow diagrams.
• Knowledge of API integrations, REST APIs, data mapping, system workflows, and software testing methodologies.
• Intermediate English and fluent Kazakh and Russian are required. Proficiency in MS Project, BPMN 2.0, JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Postman, Swagger, Figma, Miro, and Microsoft Power Platform is required.

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or AMP certification.
• Experience in software engineering, system analysis, IT architecture, CRM Bitrix, or database management.
