Manager, Creative Show Operations

Location: hirify.global San Diego, United States; on-site park operations with extensive walking, standing, outdoor work, and flexible opening, mid, closing, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Salary: $70,304 annually.

hirify.global operates an animal-focused theme park and creates entertainment experiences, shows, events, and attractions for park guests.

What you will do

• Lead entertainment activities and develop new shows, events, designs, and immersive park experiences.
• Create and execute seasonal events, costumed character experiences, atmospheric entertainment, and special effects for park rides.
• Prepare long-term department plans, budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and approval processes for show and event products, including capital projects.
• Manage labor, capital, vendor work, project progress, schedules, and completion of entertainment initiatives.
• Lead and develop entertainment ambassadors, maintain performance standards, and ensure adequate staffing, tools, and training.
• Collaborate with park, corporate, senior leadership, D&E, vendors, and other stakeholders to maintain creative alignment and safe operations.

Requirements

• At least five years of entertainment management or production experience in a theme park, live entertainment department, or similar environment.
• Strategic planning, time management, project management, business, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Leadership, collaboration, communication, presentation, and workplace issue-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse workforce, interact positively with guests and coworkers, and respond to employee, customer, regulatory, and community inquiries.
• Ability to prepare scopes of work and read designs.
• Ability to work on site in varying weather and physical conditions, including extensive walking and standing, climbing heights when needed, cleaning duties, and exposure to heat, cold, fumes, dust, and odors.
