Senior Product Design Manager, Growth

Salary: $272,000–$306,000 US base salary annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of product designers across acquisition, activation, and re-engagement.
• Own design strategy for the new-user journey, including discovery, registration, onboarding, notifications, and early product experiences.
• Lead vision sprints and turn complex problems into product directions and experimentation proposals.
• Balance growth velocity, user value, product quality, user agency, and trust.
• Partner with product, engineering, and data science leaders on strategy and execution.
• Promote research- and data-informed design and foster creative excellence within the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in scaled consumer-facing digital product design, ideally including growth, onboarding, acquisition, or lifecycle experiences.
• 4+ years of direct management experience with design teams of four or more.
• Experience designing acquisition, activation, or lifecycle experiences and understanding how early product moments affect retention.
• Strong communication, leadership, staffing, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and balance business goals with user value.
• Working understanding of AI-assisted design workflows, including ideation, prototyping, and generative UI.

Nice to have

• Personal use of Discord or gaming experience.
• Experience with growth experimentation frameworks and data-driven design iteration.
• Understanding of notifications, search/SEO, onboarding, and shareable or viral growth loops.
• Background in behavioral psychology, habit formation, or user motivation.
