Senior/Tech Lead Backend Engineer (Managed Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Lead the Managed Kubernetes Core team, owning the API, service control plane, cluster autoscaling, platform integrations, and Kubernetes add-ons.
• Remain hands-on by writing and reviewing code, leading technical projects, and participating in on-call rotations, incident mitigation, and post-incident analysis.
• Manage and coach 4–8 mid-to-senior engineers, providing context and regular feedback.
• Maintain the technical vision for the area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager and Service Owner on product vision and planning.
• Drive improvements such as scaling clusters to 20K GPU nodes, integrating autoscaling, enabling local-disk usage, and delivering managed Layer 7 load balancers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering or management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Golang or readiness to switch to it quickly.
• Experience leading engineers and owning multi-month technical projects.
• Experience with multi-month technical projects and maintaining technical vision.
