Staff Writer I (Digital Media)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work setup with a central Milan office

What you will do

• Write timely, precise, and engaging articles for Secret Milano and Secret Roma, covering breaking news, evergreen lists, city stories, and branded content.
• Create social media posts adapted for Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
• Identify and manage viral third-party content and potential collaborations with content creators.
• Apply SEO practices to website content, with training provided.
• Ensure headlines and website copy follow editorial standards and the style guide.
• Support promotional campaigns and collaborations across the Secret Media Network when required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience.
• Native-level written and spoken Italian and fluent English.
• Strong knowledge of Milan; knowledge of Rome is a plus.
• Previous experience in digital writing and social media publishing.
• Recent knowledge and experience with SEO.
• Experience with WordPress, Canva, Later, and similar social and digital publishing tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Rome.
• Deep expertise in culture, entertainment, city lifestyle, food, and art.
