Senior Security Engineer (Azure/AI)

Location: Hybrid working model in Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Own the security architecture and cloud controls across the Azure environment, including Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Log Analytics.
• Build and maintain security guardrails directly in Terraform.
• Develop and continuously improve security detections with the Security Analyst.
• Advance vulnerability management across the Azure cloud environment and existing on-premises infrastructure during the migration.
• Contribute to identity, endpoint, application, incident-response, and AI security.
• Develop internal security tools and automations, including AI-assisted penetration-testing tooling, using tools such as Claude Code.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in security engineering and several years of hands-on Azure security implementation.
• AZ-500 certification or equivalent practical expertise.
• Ability to read, write, and develop security-related Terraform code.
• Practical experience with Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, network security, SIEM, and detection engineering.
• Hands-on experience implementing and operating security controls, with ownership of solutions from identification through deployment.
• Confident professional English communication required.

Nice to have

• SC-100, CISSP, CCSP, or Security+ certification.
• Experience with Python, Django, PowerShell, or AI-assisted development.
• Experience with traditional or AI-assisted penetration testing and Tenable or Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management.
• Experience with cloud migration and AI/LLM security.
• German language skills.
