What you will do

• Develop Python- and Excel-based models for new and existing life insurance product calculation requirements.
• Validate system calculations, rates, and values during product launches and system upgrades.
• Support life product administration-system conversions while maintaining data integrity and process continuity.
• Document requirements, testing, implementation, and operational readiness, including requirement traceability.
• Analyze and resolve calculation and system defects.
• Collaborate with actuarial, product, systems, operations, legal, compliance, vendor, and business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus, or a high school diploma with 10 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience working with data analysis.
• 3+ years of Excel modeling experience, including advanced formulas and data validation.
• Experience applying analytical, statistical, and problem-solving methods.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate technical and non-technical information clearly.
• Work location: Springfield, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

• Life insurance and financial services experience.
• Experience with life insurance administration platforms such as tradVantage, adVantage, LifeComm, Product Engine, MPR, OPM, or Haven Tech.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, Excel VBA, advanced Excel, and workflow automation.
• Experience gathering requirements and supporting business testing for system conversions.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel and Word.
