Configuration Management Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. Minimal travel of approximately 10% and standard work hours.

Salary: $97,000–$143,500 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain division-level Configuration Management Plans and program configuration processes.
• Identify, document, control, and audit system changes while maintaining technical baselines in document repositories.
• Coordinate configuration management activities across division plans, program managers, lead engineers, and government and industry partners.
• Facilitate government-led Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards.
• Develop technical baseline products, change-tracking artifacts, and configuration records.
• Support configuration management training and Functional and Physical Configuration Audits.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Current Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• At least 5 years of relevant Configuration Management experience with mature CM practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of change-control processes, Engineering Review Boards, Configuration Control Boards, and applicable military standards, including EIA-649-1, MIL-HDBK-61, DoD-5010-12-M, and DoD-5015.02-STD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills for customer and partner interactions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM).
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience supporting military or DoD civilian clients and working in multi-contractor environments.
