Senior TDI Site Reliability Engineer, Okta Federal

Location: Bellevue, Washington, or San Francisco, California

Salary: $165,000–$225,600 USD annual base salary; a separate range of $147,000–$202,000 USD is also listed.

What you will do

• Design, build, and modernize scalable cloud environments and development tools for regulated environments.
• Enforce security policies and standards across cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Partner with software engineering teams to promote DevOps and SRE practices and support Agile workflows.
• Create technical documentation, network diagrams, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Deliver foundational infrastructure capabilities that enable secure, reliable, and scalable internal engineering operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering, including complex large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in AWS multi-account environments, AWS Organizations, IAM, Identity Center, and StackSets.
• Strong skills in Terraform, secure Python automation, and Git-based CI/CD workflows using GitLab or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and observability tools including Splunk, CloudWatch, and the Grafana stack.
• Must be able to provide documentation establishing U.S. Person status to access federal environments or protected federal data.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of BGP, IPsec, VPCs, transit gateways, and VPC endpoints.
• Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with FedRAMP, FIPS, STIGs, and data boundary implementations.
