Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Fully remote. Relocation support is available to hubs in Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Poland, and Spain.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a corporate data warehouse for business users, analysts, and ML engineers.
• Synchronize data between internal and external systems.
• Build tools for collecting data into the warehouse.
• Develop EL, ELT, and ETL pipelines.
• Integrate data governance and data quality tools and practices.
• Optimize data processing and storage costs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses.
• Knowledge of Kimball, Inmon, Medallion, or Data Mesh architectures.
• Experience with data modeling, including SCD, normalized forms, Star Schema, and Data Vault.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, including best practices for system design, data processing, and storage.
• Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and GCP.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST APIs, gRPC APIs, message brokers, or queues.
• Experience with relational, MPP, and NoSQL data storage systems.
• Additional experience with Google Cloud Platform.
