Site Reliability Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

What you will do

• Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across commercial, secured, and classified environments.
• Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters across multiple security and classification levels.
• Define and enforce infrastructure security controls, hardening, and compliance for government and commercial programs.
• Build repeatable infrastructure as code with Terraform, Terragrunt, and related tooling.
• Establish monitoring, metrics, logging, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Own reliability standards, uptime, incident response, architecture standards, and engineering mentorship.

Requirements

• Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by U.S. export-control law.
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering, including work in aerospace, defense, satellite, or another mission-critical domain.
• Experience architecting and operating ground networks or large-scale production network infrastructure.
• Deep production expertise with Kubernetes and containers, including highly available clusters.
• Strong networking fundamentals covering routing, switching, segmentation, and secure network design.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automation, observability, regulated or classified environments, and scripting in Python, Go, or a comparable language.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience supporting classified or government space programs and infrastructure across multiple classification levels.
• Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, and modern observability stacks such as Mimir.
