Location: Athens, Greece; hybrid work model with 2 days working from home

What you will do
- Develop and maintain modules for a custom-built CMS and backend systems supporting company websites.
- Build scalable backend services, REST APIs, third-party integrations, and database-driven solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and support one backend development sub-team through technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and promote development best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable web solutions.
- Research new technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and modern workflows to improve quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- BSc or BA in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of backend web development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical supervisory or coordinator role.
- Experience mentoring developers across different seniority levels, with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of PHP or Python and experience with REST APIs, backend integrations, and databases.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, React, Angular, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Native or near-native English proficiency; applicants must be eligible or legally authorized to work in Greece.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the Python Django framework.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern development workflows.
