TL;DR
Go Developer (Go/Fintech): Building and evolving a real-time cross-selling platform and scalable backend microservices for insurance and assistance applications with an accent on gRPC architecture, transactional data, and complex integrations. Focus on designing resilient REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven workflows, high-throughput systems, and reliable monetary and claims processing.
Location: Baku; fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work options are available.

What you will do
- Build and evolve a real-time cross-selling platform for personalized insurance offers.
- Own the backend for multiple user-facing applications and advance the gRPC-based microservice architecture.
- Design and maintain REST and gRPC APIs integrating insurance platforms and third-party services such as risk scoring, KYC, and payments.
- Model transactional PostgreSQL data for policies, claims, customer records, and audit trails.
- Implement reliable event-driven workflows with RabbitMQ or Kafka for claims, policy updates, and notifications.
- Improve service reliability through testing, observability, code reviews, scalable architecture, and Agile collaboration with Business Analysts, QA, and DevOps.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial backend development experience, including 3+ years with Go in production.
- Higher education in Computer Science or a related software development field.
- Extensive experience implementing or configuring AI within a team.
- Strong experience with Go concurrency, production-grade gRPC microservices, containerization, and backend deployments.
- Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ or Kafka, REST APIs, and unit and integration testing.
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus, scalable high-availability systems, fault tolerance, idempotency, SLA considerations, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum. English: Upper-Intermediate or above required.
Nice to have
- Experience in insurance or other regulated domains.
- Familiarity with GDPR and PCI DSS, plus knowledge of policies, underwriting, and the claims lifecycle.
