Senior Localisation Program Manager, Product (AI)

Location: London, UK; hybrid attendance three days per week in-office. The fixed-term contract runs from ASAP until May 2027. Authorisation to work in the UK without restriction is required.

Base pay range: £56,000–£84,000 GBP annually, with potential additional compensation including bonus, equity, sign-on payments, and eligible benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end localisation for Product, Help Centre, and Customer Education across supported languages.
• Manage freelance linguists, agencies, and other language vendors, including sourcing, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Define language quality standards, review loops, governance processes, and delivery targets.
• Own Smartling TMS workflows and integrate machine translation across content types, CMSs, language assets, and resources.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and internal teams to design and build an AI-first translation platform using machine translation, generative AI, and automation.
• Represent international customer needs in product decisions, content planning, and localisation priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a comparable client-side localisation role.
• Deep knowledge of localisation concepts, methodologies, tools, assets, TMS, and MT- or AI-driven workflows.
• Experience leading product localisation across multiple languages and implementing localisation solutions at scale.
• Ability to partner with internal teams, influence roadmaps, and build localisation tool and process strategies.
• Strong organisational, communication, analytical, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal English.
• Unrestricted authorisation to work in the UK is required.
