TL;DR
Analyst - Global HE/HTA (R, Evidence Synthesis): Developing automation tools, coding scripts, and statistical methods for health technology assessment and evidence synthesis with an accent on R programming, software development, and complex research problems. Focus on conceptualising de novo statistical projects, improving automation across the Centre of Excellence, and communicating innovative research through scientific publications and conferences.
Location: Home-based remote role in São Paulo, Brazil

What you will do
- Develop internal tools, software, coding scripts, and technical guidance to improve automation and methods development in evidence synthesis for HTA.
- Edit, review, and develop R scripts tailored to complex research problems.
- Contribute to highly complex statistical projects requiring de novo conceptualisation and innovative problem-solving.
- Develop core materials to increase automation and efficiency across the Centre of Excellence for Evidence Synthesis.
- Develop innovative evidence synthesis methods and disseminate research through peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.
- Provide limited project implementation support, primarily for complex projects requiring new material development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, health economics, or a related discipline; a PhD is advantageous.
- Fluency in English, spoken and written, is required.
- Relevant experience as a statistician or evidence synthesis specialist in academia, consultancy, a CRO, or the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong, demonstrable programming experience in R applied in a business or academic setting.
- Experience with software development, ideally including RShiny applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, scientific writing, communication, time-management, and project-management skills, with an understanding of HEOR and evidence synthesis processes.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Stan, WinBUGS, OpenBUGS, or JAGS.
- PhD in a relevant discipline.
