What you will do
- Perform genome-scale analyses using genotype, imputed, and sequence data from millions of individuals across phenotypes and biomarkers.
- Build, maintain, and improve analytical workflows that follow genomic analysis best practices.
- Build and manage high-throughput systems for genomic analysis execution, tracking, and post-analysis quality control.
- Test and integrate computational tools across quantitative, health outcome, and molecular datasets.
- Review analysis plans, results, and summaries for accuracy and reliability while identifying problems and proposing analytical refinements.
- Collaborate with specialists in genomic data analysis, translational genetics, functional biology, and medicine on cardiovascular, metabolic, and skeletal diseases.
Requirements
- PhD in Human Genetics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience; postdoctoral training or relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with genome- and exome-wide association analysis, rare variant analysis, Mendelian randomization, LD Score regression, polygenic risk score modeling, meta-analysis, and functional data for variant and gene prioritization.
- Experience analyzing large genetic association studies and biobank-scale data, including UK Biobank or comparable datasets.
- Familiarity with genetic and phenotype data management, VCF files, genotype imputation, and quality control of genetic association inputs and outputs.
- Expertise with cloud computing and tools such as PLINK and REGENIE; statistical programming in R, Python, and C/C++ is necessary.
