What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for automation engineers supporting GMP drug substance manufacturing operations.
• Deliver building automation systems and PLC-based process and utility skid equipment for a new manufacturing plant.
• Develop engineering, maintenance, validation, and data integrity documentation in collaboration with QA.
• Support commissioning, qualification, automation installation verification, and automation checkout activities.
• Lead vendor FATs and verify control strategies, software code, network connectivity, and equipment compliance.
• Own system administration, change controls, CAPAs, deviations, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and operational support.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering experience, an associate degree with 8 years, a bachelor’s degree with 4 years, a master’s degree with 2 years, or a doctorate.
• Experience with BMS/BAS design, building controls, PLCs, field instrumentation, utility systems, and OEM automation software integration.
• Knowledge of GMP, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM 2500, S95, GAMP 5, GDP, and regulated documentation practices.
• Experience with programming, design, installation, and lifecycle management of building automation controls and PLC systems.
• Strong leadership, technical writing, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
