Vice President, External Communications (Workforce SaaS)

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $210,000–$298,000 base pay annually, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Lead hirify.global’s global external communications strategy and strengthen its reputation and leadership in Workforce Operations.
• Direct an integrated organization spanning product and technology PR, industry and customer PR, international PR, social, AI discovery, thought leadership, newsroom, and analyst relations.
• Advise the CEO, Chief Communications Officer, and executive team on reputation, media strategy, competitive narratives, industry positioning, and external risks.
• Build customer-powered reputation programs and partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Experience to connect communications with business outcomes.
• Oversee external reputation risk and crisis response, including media strategy, stakeholder communications, social response, and reputation monitoring.
• Transform and scale the function through organizational design, capability building, leadership development, measurement, and succession planning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in external communications, public relations, corporate communications, reputation, or related disciplines, including significant senior leadership experience.
• Experience leading complex, global communications organizations across multiple disciplines.
• Deep expertise in reputation strategy, narrative development, media relations, executive counsel, issues management, and external storytelling.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to connect communications strategy with growth, market positioning, customer priorities, and business outcomes.
• Exceptional executive presence with experience advising CEOs and senior executives in high-stakes environments.
• Established relationships with top-tier business, technology, and industry media and other influential external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in enterprise B2B SaaS, technology, or another complex technology-driven business.
• Experience overseeing product and technology PR, analyst relations, thought leadership, social, international communications, and AI-discovery capabilities.
• Experience establishing category leadership or repositioning a large enterprise technology company.
• Understanding of how AI, search, social, and changing information-discovery behaviors affect reputation and influence.
