TL;DR
Sr Buyer (Supply Chain/Procurement): Managing sourcing, bid evaluation, contract awards, and purchase orders for materials and services with an accent on complex procurement packages, vendor negotiations, and cost-based decision making. Focus on resolving vendor claims and disputes, coordinating source inspection, expediting and logistics, and guiding junior procurement staff.

What you will do
- Identify and qualify sources for commodities and services, prepare bidder lists, and issue requests for quotation.
- Evaluate bids and issue purchase orders for complex packages and commodities while meeting cost and schedule requirements.
- Negotiate complex or high-value regional and international purchase orders.
- Prepare contract documents, support contract awards and conforming processes, and resolve vendor claims or disputes.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, Engineering, and management.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to junior staff and contribute as a lead buyer on projects.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in the EPC industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, a technical or engineering discipline, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of contract terms and conditions, procurement processes, cost-benefit analysis, and value-based decision making.
- Strong written and oral communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
