Senior Assistant Pricing Actuary

Location: Hybrid role based in the London, Redhill, or Dublin office; three days per week in the office and two days at home.

What you will do

• Maintain and develop exposure-based pricing algorithms for hirify.global Europe.
• Implement pricing algorithms in the Hyperexponential (HX) production system.
• Run Python processes for batch rating portfolios and calibrating base rates.
• Expand the batch rater and standard pricing dataset across additional products.
• Prepare data and analysis for actuarial rating validation and pricing model reviews.
• Collaborate with underwriters and business partners, communicate analytical results, and contribute to pricing team activities such as case pricing, business planning, and reinsurance purchasing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a STEM-related field.
• Associate Actuarial Credential; part-qualified, nearly qualified, or newly qualified candidates are considered.
• Demonstrable experience in quantitative and actuarial analysis.
• Strong understanding of insurance products and the insurance industry.
• Strong programming and PC skills, including SQL, SAS, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to evaluate data, tools, and statistical methods and communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
