Software Engineer I (Salesforce)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for H-1B, TN, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT.

Annual base salary: $99,100–$163,400, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions for Personal Insurance digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop Salesforce configurations and integrations using strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience and streamline business processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver implementations aligned with strategic objectives.
• Build specialized Salesforce expertise alongside experienced Salesforce professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on software development experience building and maintaining enterprise applications.
• At least 2 additional years of software engineering experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Prior Salesforce experience is not required, but eagerness to learn the Salesforce ecosystem is essential.
