Senior Android / Mobile Warehouse Apps Engineer (Android)

Location: Hybrid from the Singapore office

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve Android applications for warehouse and operational workflows.
• Build scanning, receiving, picking, packing, inventory, image-capture, and user-validation workflows.
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, internal platforms, ERP-related systems, and business-critical services.
• Implement offline-capable workflows with local storage, synchronization, retries, conflict handling, and clear error recovery.
• Support ruggedized Android devices, barcode scanners, camera workflows, permissions, configuration, and mobile deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Delivery, Architecture, backend, QA, DevOps, and warehouse users on requirements, testing, UAT, troubleshooting, and rollout.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional mobile application development experience with strong hands-on Android experience.
• Strong Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and modern Android development practices.
• Experience integrating production mobile applications with REST APIs, authentication services, backend systems, and business workflows.
• Experience with offline-capable design, local storage, synchronization, poor-connectivity scenarios, and troubleshooting across devices and OS versions.
• Understanding of mobile security, authentication, permissions, secure storage, data protection, automated testing, regression testing, and release readiness.
• Ability to make independent technical decisions, communicate tradeoffs, and support urgent production or UAT issues.

Nice to have

• Warehouse, logistics, supply chain, inventory, distribution center, or enterprise mobile application experience.
• Ruggedized Android devices, Zebra or Honeywell scanners, barcode SDKs, RFID, or camera-based capture workflows.
• Android Enterprise, MDM/EMM, private app distribution, Jetpack, MVVM, Room/SQLite, WorkManager, Retrofit/OkHttp, or Kotlin coroutines.
• React Native or Flutter familiarity, .NET and SQL Server integrations, ERP or NetSuite experience, or exposure to computer vision and AI-assisted mobile features.
• Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, automated build pipelines, and mobile release management.
