Environmental Analyst I or II - 2nd Shift Laboratories (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina, United States; onsite laboratory role. Training takes place on first shift, followed by a move to second shift.

Salary: $22.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Analyze environmental samples using LCMSMS and GCMS.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Process analytical data according to standard operating procedures for client reports.
• Assist with developing and optimizing analytical methods.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant laboratory instrumentation and learn required operational and quantification software.
• Follow the laboratory quality assurance plan and support additional essential laboratory tasks.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in Chemistry, Natural Science, or equivalent training.
• 2–4 years of experience in environmental analytical chemistry.
• Ability to use office software and learn laboratory software.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk; lift 50 pounds several times per day and more than 20 pounds overhead.
• Ability to work in an office and laboratory environment, including hot or cold conditions and occasional shifts longer than eight hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with instrument software or a commercial laboratory.
