Registered Nurse (Occupational Health): Providing onsite nursing care to client employees in an Atlanta Health Center with an accent on patient assessments, clinical testing, treatment, and health education. Location: Onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Part-time schedule of 4 hours per week; Health Center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
  • Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
  • Administer medications and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
  • Maintain medical equipment, patient health records, and a clean, safe environment.
  • Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

  • Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the site contract.
  • At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
