Manager, External Data Strategy (Data Analytics)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $99,100–$163,400 annual base salary, plus performance-based cash incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Evaluate external data products, enhancements, and their business value with data providers, product strategy, and R&D teams.
• Build business cases, assess cost-benefit trade-offs, and lead external data evaluations and implementations.
• Develop business requirements and support organizational training and communication.
• Diagnose production issues, research system impacts, and coordinate resolution of vendor outages affecting policies.
• Monitor external data product performance and underwriting strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data security and protection requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, management information systems, finance, actuarial science, economics, or another analytics-related field, or at least four years of related experience.
• Understanding of third-party data and the property and casualty industry.
• Strong business, technical, analytical, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Advanced to expert oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and support new product strategies.
• Customer-focused approach, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
