Global Exploration & MCPs Support Team Leader

What you will do

• Lead the Buenos Aires-based Global Exploration and Major Capital Projects support team.
• Oversee monthly close, accruals, joint venture accounting, cost recovery, JIB, cash calls, Outlook submissions, and variance analysis across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual statutory reporting, cost recovery audits, partner audits, local content reporting, and other country deliverables.
• Partner with Exploration BPF, Country Managers, MCP leadership, CEPS, FR&A, controllers, auditors, and government agencies to support forecasting and decision-making.
• Own SOX controls, audit readiness, remediation of findings, and consistent external-facing narratives.
• Mentor analysts, onboard new countries and blocks, manage transitions, and drive process standardization and digital enablement.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills across geographically distributed teams.
• Deep knowledge of upstream finance, joint venture accounting, PSC/JOA mechanics, cost recovery, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to translate complex financial topics into clear insights for senior management and external partners.
• Strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work effectively across geographies, time zones, and functional boundaries.
