What you will do
- Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, hospitals, operating-room personnel, and account stakeholders.
- Identify prospective surgeons and accounts, create territory-specific plans, and convert new business.
- Drive sales of assigned orthopaedic sports medicine products and support proper product utilization through presentations and demonstrations.
- Provide support during surgical cases and educate surgeons, operating-room personnel, and central supply staff through in-services and workshops.
- Manage inventory, sales equipment, promotional materials, competitive threats, and strategic product initiatives.
- Execute sales strategies and product-mix plans to achieve territory objectives and quotas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of professional or related experience; alternatively, an associate degree or medical certification with 8 years, 10 years of related experience, or military transition experience with at least 3 years.
- Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
- Ability to work in a laboratory and operating-room environment and travel, including possible weekend or overnight travel.
- Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical-thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in complex environments, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Functional knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, with basic knowledge of surgery.
Nice to have
- Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
- Experience in business development, market research, strategic sales planning, solutions selling, and healthcare trends.
