Location: Galveston, Texas, United States. Extensive travel, evening, and weekend work are required. A Class C driver's license is required to drive university-provided vehicles.
Salary: $3,750 monthly.

What you will do
- Develop and implement admissions, financial aid, and early outreach strategies for assigned high schools and regions.
- Advise prospective students and parents throughout admissions, scholarship, and financial aid applications, resolving questions and issues.
- Coordinate with high school counselors and organize campus visits, presentations, application workshops, resource tables, and regional projects.
- Plan, implement, and report on recruitment programs, including logistics, speakers, itineraries, accommodations, meals, marketing, and records.
- Provide financial counseling on scholarships, loans, grants, employment, budgeting, money management, and indebtedness.
- Mentor and train subordinate advisors and lead selected recruitment programs, committees, and professional activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of related experience in student services, admissions, recruitment, or financial aid.
- Knowledge of financial aid programs and federal regulations related to student financial aid.
- Strong organization, communication, presentation, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- English literacy is required, including the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Extensive travel and evening and weekend work are required; a Class C driver’s license is required.

- Experience presenting to large groups and designing, conducting, and assessing programs.
- Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills.
