TL;DR
Associate Director, Institute (Research Operations): Translating Texas Water Resources Institute strategy into coordinated execution across programs, partnerships, and internal systems with an accent on operational leadership, funding development, and performance measurement. Focus on building institute-wide workflows, tracking research and funding outcomes, coordinating stakeholders, and producing impact reports.
Location: College Station, Texas, United States. Travel is required, including work beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.

What you will do
- Translate Institute strategy and leadership priorities into coordinated implementation plans, workflows, timelines, roles, and deliverables.
- Oversee institute-wide project management, coordination systems, reporting frameworks, and performance tracking.
- Monitor research outcomes, engagement goals, funding performance, and strategic impact across programs.
- Coordinate Requests for Proposals from development and selection through implementation and reporting.
- Maintain relationships with state, federal, academic, industry, community, international, and funding partners.
- Improve internal infrastructure, documentation, communications, website operations, and information flow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of related management experience.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications, strategic planning, and management development programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.
