Project Manager, Aviation (Landside Development)

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey, United States; hybrid

Base compensation: $153,600–$230,400 annually

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of major landside infrastructure projects at commercial airports.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, planners, utility specialists, and consultants.
• Act as the primary interface with airport owners, program management teams, public agencies, utilities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, risk strategies, technical reports, and executive presentations.
• Coordinate design development, permitting, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Maintain airport operations during construction by managing impacts to passengers, public access, traffic, transit, and commercial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, construction management, planning, architecture, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing aviation infrastructure projects, including landside development.
• Experience delivering projects at major commercial airports in the United States or internationally.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design and engineering teams.
• Knowledge of airport landside planning, roadway design, passenger circulation, curbside operations, parking, utilities, and multimodal transportation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, client expectations, and projects in active airport environments.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, AICP, or PMP certification.
• Experience with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or P3 delivery models.
• Experience with large, multi-phase airport redevelopment programs.
