Business Development Manager (Electrical Construction)

Location: Renton, Washington, United States. On-site with minimal remote work; approximately 40–60% travel throughout the Puget Sound region, including occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $165,000–$185,000 annually, plus a discretionary year-end bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and execute regional business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Build relationships with owners, developers, engineering firms, architects, consultants, general contractors, trade partners, and key decision-makers.
• Identify, qualify, track, and forecast project opportunities from concept through contract award.
• Collaborate with operations, preconstruction, estimating, marketing, project executives, and project managers on pursuit and win strategies.
• Support proposals, interviews, presentations, budgets, qualifications packages, and strategic market expansion.
• Provide market intelligence and customer feedback while maintaining CRM activity, forecasting, and business development reporting.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, including 5 years in business development, preconstruction, client development, account management, or strategic sales.
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of electrical construction, estimating, preconstruction, project delivery methods, CRM systems, and strategic opportunity planning.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work on-site or with clients in the Puget Sound region and travel approximately 40–60%.
